Whether you are a director, transport manager, operations manager or Health & Safety Manager of a business operating a fleet of vehicles or the parent of a teenager who likes to party, alcolocks will enable you to sleep calmly knowing that a vehicle for which you are responsible cannot be driven if the driver has excess alcohol in his or her body.
Almost 3000 people a year are seriously and permanently injured and just under 600 people die as a result of drink-driving on the UK roads every year – the equivalent of a London underground bomb going off every month of the year.
The Alcolock 500 is a state-of-the-art system with an ergonomically designed breathalyser which is connected to a vehicle immobilizer via a wireless system.
Prior to starting a vehicle or machine the operator must breathe into the handset. If an alcohol level over an agreed amount is detected the vehicle or machine will not start.
The system has been developed and manufactured by two of the worlds leading players in automotive electronics and breathalyser technology, PFK Electronics in South Africa and Lion Laboratories in the UK.
For Fleet Operators – the system can be pre-set at all levels to accommodate zero alcohol company policy up to legal limits. Each time a sample is taken it records the date, time and level of alcohol by breath.
The system stores up to 4000 samples, which can be downloaded directly onto a PC at any time. It also has the capability via a GSM module to send the same information back to your operations department or mobile telephone, enabling you to have immediate and up to date information.
